1. Who we are

Velacompress is operated by Tajalys Inc., a corporation incorporated in Canada.

By using Velacompress or purchasing a license, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Velacompress compresses and converts images entirely in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to our servers. The free version processes up to 10 images per batch and exports WebP and JPEG. The Pro license removes the batch limit and adds AVIF export. On mobile and some browsers, batch size is technically limited to prevent crashes.

3. Price, taxes and payment

The Pro license costs US$30, paid once. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Applicable sales taxes are added at checkout where we are required to collect them. The total amount, including any taxes, is shown before you confirm payment. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never receive your full card number.

4. Delivery

Your license key is sent by email to the address entered at checkout, normally within a few minutes of payment. You activate it by pasting it on the unlock page. An invoice is emailed by Stripe. If the key does not arrive, contact us and we will resend it.

5. Pro license

The Pro license is a one-time purchase, sold under the name “Lifetime License”. It is valid for the commercial lifetime of the product, meaning for as long as Tajalys Inc. commercially operates Velacompress. If we decide to discontinue Velacompress, we will give at least 30 days' notice on this website.

The license is issued to one person and is tied to the key delivered to you. It may be used on any device you personally use, including for commercial work. It may not be shared, resold, or published.

6. Withdrawal and refunds

Velacompress Pro is digital content delivered immediately. At checkout, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the license key has been delivered. Purchases are therefore final after delivery.

Exception: if Velacompress does not work on your setup because of a defect we are unable to resolve, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full.

7. Limitation of liability

Velacompress processes files locally on your device. We are not liable for performance limits caused by your hardware or browser, and we recommend keeping copies of your original files. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

8. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, including the laws of Québec. If you are a consumer residing in Québec, the limitation of liability in section 7 and the choice of courts in section 9 do not apply to you to the extent they are prohibited by Québec law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Subject to section 8, disputes are submitted to the courts of New Brunswick.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in force on the date you paid. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
